At IT Code we are aware that the COVID-19 outbreak is causing multiple challenges to organisations in UK and around the world. The approach that some organisations are taking to reduce the spread of COVID-19 while maintaining business continuity is asking employees to work from home.  IT Code has several services available to help with that.  Here is an overview of what IT Code could do to help:

  • Remote Desktop Software – software that allows a personal computer’s desktop environment to be run remotely on one PC or server (usually located in the office), while being displayed on a separate client device (usually PC located at home)
  • VPN connection – enables users to send and receive data across public networks (Internet) as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network (office).  Applications running on a laptop, desktop, smartphone, across a VPN may therefore benefit from the functionality, security, and management of the private network.  This enables users working from home to use office based files / folders as if they were in the office
  • Cloud Based Document Management systems – used to receive, track, manage and store documents.  Users access the documents as if they were on their computers but the documents are stored in cloud and shared with other team members working from home or office
  • Employee monitoring tools – used for time tracking and efficiency.  These tools are also for user behaviour analytics used to increase productivity, streamline operational efficiency, and harden security.  Once configured the software can send you daily reports displaying the amount of time an employee spent working on a certain project compared with amount of time spent on personal activities
